The Ministry of Justice will begin the second phase of its Sensitization Sessions on October 20, 2016 at the Justice Complex on Constant Spring Road, Kingston.

The announcement was made by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Mrs. Carol Palmer, during a Regional Principal’s Meeting held on October 12, 2016 at the Pembroke Hall Primary School, Kingston.

The Ministry of Justice is on a 'crusade' to bring Jamaica back to a place of law and order, peace and decency and it is believed that the youth can champion this cause.

"We are on a journey. Everyone has a part to play against this fight, war, combat. We cannot do it alone," stated Carol Palmer, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice.

Mrs. Carol Palmer was speaking at the justice sensitization session in Montego Bay last Thursday (September 22). She told the gathering that crime fighting was not just the duty of the police but for all of us.

More than one thousand schools will be targeted for Restorative Justice and Sensitization Sessions next year. It’s a move that Justice Minister Delroy Chuck feels could help to reduce the level of aggression and tension in the society.

“Let me state very frankly that Jamaica has many, many problems and regrettably, there are far too many persons in our society who want to increase the problems. However, if collectively we could pull together, we can solve many of the problems,” said Minister Chuck.
