Nineteen additional Justices of the Peace (JPs) were commissioned in Trelawny on Friday, June 26, 2026, bringing the parish's total complement to 332. The commissioning ceremony was held at the Glistening Waters Hotel under the auspices of the Custos Rotulorum for Trelawny, Hon. Hughe Gentles.
Delivering the keynote address, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Hon. Delroy Chuck, underscored the vital role that Justices of the Peace play in promoting peace, justice and harmony across Jamaica.
