Sectoral Presentation 2023

Madam Speaker, 2022/2023 has been a remarkable and successful year for the Ministry of Justice. We declare proudly that the Justice system is well on its way to becoming a first-class justice system. While we acknowledge that much more needs to be done, it is clear that the justice sector has never been in a better position since Independence. There have been significant and far reaching improvements at all levels for the Jamaican citizen to access justice in a timely manner. As Minister of Justice, I present to this Honourable House, some of the many achievements. I will highlight a few of the significant outputs and the details and supporting data are available in the booklet as appendices.
