KINGSTON, Jamaica- The Ministry of Justice (MOJ), on Thursday, August 4, showcased two newly constructed, state of the art witness rooms, at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).

The Ministry of Justice reminds the public that Justices of the Peace (JPs) have an obligation to perform voluntary community-based activities as the Custos may require which include, visits to prisons to ensure the rights of persons in custody are protected and their dignity respected in prisons/lock-ups.
The Ministry of Justice notes with great concern the articles published in the April 17 edition of the Sunday Gleaner, “Corrupt Justices” and “‘Injustice’ of the peace” and assures the public that the Ministry does not condone the deviant actions of a few persons who seek to tarnish the reputation of the office of the Justice of the Peace (JP).
